The HBCU Mental Health and Wellness Program is a holistic, student-centered initiative designed to support emotional, social, academic, and financial well-being. The program addresses the unique needs of students while providing tools that promote resilience, balance, and long-term success.

Our services are built around four core pillars that work together to support the whole student.

Our Core Pillars

Mental Health Workshops

Our mental health workshops offer safe, supportive spaces where students can learn, reflect, and grow. Led by licensed mental health clinicians, these sessions use culturally responsive and trauma-informed approaches.

Workshops focus on:

  • Stress-management, anxiety, and depression

  • Healthy coping skills and emotional regulation

  • Trauma awareness and healing practices

  • Reducing stigma and increasing mental health awarness

  • Building healthy relationships and boundaries

Community Mental Health & Wellness Expansion

In addition to serving HBCU campuses, the Mental Health and Wellness Program has expanded to support youth serving organizations, community businesses, and neighborhoods beyond the traditional academic setting. This expansion reflects our commitment to increasing access to mental health education, prevention, and wellness resources across diverse communities.

We partner with schools, community-based organizations, local businesses, and neighborhood groups to deliver mental wellness programming tailored to each community’s needs. The available services encompass mental health workshops, wellness initiatives, career readiness, and financial education programs, all aimed at enhancing emotional well-being for individuals as well as the broader community.

By extending mental health and wellness services into  communities, workplaces, and shared spaces, we help create healthier environments where youth and families can thrive, resilience is strengthened, and mental wellness is normalized and supported.
